Mesmerizing…
By hotsauce on October 30th, 2007For some odd reason I cannot take my eyes off of this video, it’s mesmerizing. I don’t know what it is but for some reason my eyes are glued to the monitor, it’s almost soothing.
Ubuntu Beryl desktop continued…
By hotsauce on October 29th, 2007In response to my GO OPEN SOURCE blog item written, here is more really cool Ubuntu desktops running Beryl. Really geeky, but you gotta admit it’s pretty damn cool and proves the power of the open source community. This might prove to be the ultimate multitasking environment, either that or serious distraction. I could see this as being a damn cool alternative to a multiple monitor display setup. I’ve gotta try this when I upgrade my laptop down the road, here is the specs on this guy’s machine:
A quick demo of Beryl possibilities on my old computer :
- Athlon 1800+ - 512MB Ram - NVIDIA geforce 4200 TI !!!!
- Linux Kubuntu Edgy - AIGLX - NVDIA official driver - BERYL SVN
You’ll have to turn up the volume on your machine to get the 300 effect, very cool demo of beryl though.
Look what your old man made!

This has got to be one of the funniest south park episodes, check it out. Here is the synopsis of the episode, sure genius:
Stan’s dad becomes South Park’s home-town hero when the guys down at the local bar see the size of his most recent crap.
This is the closest thing I could find on youtube to embed in a post, kind of funny AFTER watching the complete episode. Here’s the link to the whole episode @southparkzone.com, I highly recommend the whole episode.
UPDATED (10.30.07)…Ladies and genteman, I give you Randy Marsh’s hot crap!
Go open source!!!
By hotsauce on October 25th, 2007 TechnologyNeed I say more about the OS battle, though I do like Mac’s OS 10.5 Leopard. Check out Ubuntu or other Linux distro’s (Fedora, Debian, etc) and give it a shot, support the open source community! I mean who really wants to pay ridiculous prices for software when they can get just as good if not better software for free? I haven’t tried Ubuntu with Beryl but damn it looks cool. On my new computer I’m going to have to try this! GO OPEN SOURCE!!!
Americans never cease to amaze me…

I found this video on the humor blog, corporate-casual, and all I can say is WOW! Why didn’t I ever think of this in the first place, shit you could REALLY surprise those burglars when they break in. Either that or your drunken roommate when he comes stumbling into the wrong room. Boy, would he be surprised when you pulled out your bed-mounted-shotgun! I bet he’d pee his pants, which probably wouldn’t be hard after a hard night of drinking. My favorite line from this vid is “many customers are buying these for both sides of the bed”. Hmmm??? Can’t people find better ways to solve their domestic disputes?
Check out the-BackUp.com for more details, can anyone say redneck? I wonder if Ted Nugent or Charlton Heston has one of these? I wonder if the NRA is backing this product or not, might be debatable.
I think I may have found my Halloween costume…
By hotsauce on October 15th, 2007 randomSome random internetary brought me to this gem, I’m going to call it “my next Halloween costume”. The only question is where can I get this costume?
Adrian Peterson could be the 2nd coming of jesus
By hotsauce on October 14th, 2007 football Vikings
Whew! In typical Vikings fashion the Vikings beat the Bears 34-31 on Sunday thanks to Purple Jesus, Adrian Peterson. This guy is ridiculous! Here is his stat lines for the game: 20 rushes, 224 yds, and 3 TDs. I’m still a little wary of Peterson returning kicks, but it’s huge when we start with great field position as seen at the end of the game which lead to Ryan Longwell’s game winning 54-yd field goal.
Even after a ridiculous performance by Peterson, Childress still states at the end of the game on KFAN that Peterson IS the 2nd string tailback behind Chester Taylor? What more could Peterson do to earn the starting job? Childress is an arrogant coach who never deters from his plans, never wavering from it and sticking to his guns? This pisses me off to no end, and in is the main reason why I cannot stand Childress as a coach. Peterson should not be backing up anyone in the NFL, he should be getting the ball at least 25 times a game and kickoffs should not be included in this. Imagine what he’d have done if he were given 25-30 touches at half back this game? I think it’s great to have two good half backs but seriously, why not give 10 more touches to Peterson than Chester Taylor? In comparison Chester Taylor had 2 more touches (22) than AP for 83 Yds where Peterson had 20 touches for 224 and 3 TDs. Isn’t it obvious who should be getting more touches?
As for the Vikings defense, I was pleased overall with our defense, minus our pass defense. Our run defense is just plain sick, EJ Henderson is the ultimate man child. Henderson makes ball carriers look like he’s tackling kid’s playing pop warner football. I’m still trying to understand why we have single coverage on Devin Hester at the end of the game? All in all I’m pleased about the win, hopefully we can take some momentum from this game into Dallas.
The Bears offense was laughable, so much that I felt like this German midget watching their offense. BE CAREFUL: TOO MUCH LAUGHING CAN CAUSE LEAD TO COUGHING. I’ve never liked the Bears, and felt they’ve been very lucky the past two seasons.
Holy Cow…there’s something weird going on in Cleveland
By hotsauce on October 8th, 2007 baseball
In light of the 2-0 start of Cleveland, I’m convinced that these Yankees are doomed. Not only were they harassed by killer Canadian bugs on Friday but watch this clip of Bobby Abreu’s bat breaking when he tapped it on the plate to start the top of the 7th. I think God might be fed up with the Yankees and their antics like the rest of mlb. GO INDIANS!!!
This just in…
