Well the saga continues, I got our invoice today from the infamous Bobby Pascaly and he didn't add in our 4th ticket. Not a big deal if we add in more people to the roster and since we'll have to move seats. Jay and Thug, are you guys for sure in? I'll be emailing you guys the link to this post, so please respond here. I want to try and consolidate our season ticket "communication" to here.

Any preferences as to where we sit in home run porch? We currently are sitting in section 100, row 4, seats 23-25 (it was suppose to be an additional seat but Bobby forgot to add it according to the invoice). I'll be trying to get us as close to the aisle as possible. Oh and I'll need to get a payment of $110 from Cory, Bez, and Calvin by the end of the month (Feb. 28th) and $360 from Jay and Thug if you guys choose to get in on tickets. I'll send out a paypal invoice to you guys. I'm not sure if you guys are comfortable with adding your bank account to paypal but if you pay the invoice with a credit card I get charged a transaction fee of $7.95 per transaction. If you add a bank account, I don't get charged a fee.

Last night I spent some time trying to update the "style" on the board. Basically I gave up a couple hours in, stayed tuned for further changes.

Nick

Here's a Q & A about the priority seating for the new stadium posted in my original email this year:

Quote:
Q: When can I expect to hear about season ticket options for traditional seats in the new
ballpark?

A: You can expect to receive a package of information that will provide you with all the 2010
season pricing, package options and seating information sometime in 2008. In the meantime, we
encourage you to frequently visit the exclusive season ticket holder webpage on
http://www.twinsbaseball.com to get the latest updates.
Q: What will the criteria be for seating priority for traditional seats in the new ballpark?
A: While all the details have not been finalized, we can tell you that tenure - the amount of time
you've maintained your season ticket account with no interruption of season ticket holder status -
will be the key factor in determining new ballpark seat priority.
Q: What can I do for the 2008 season that will improve my priority or seat selection for
traditional seating in the new ballpark?

A: Although the final priority and account migration plan has not been finalized, the number of
seats you hold as of a yet-to-be-determined date - likely as of the 2009 season- may dictate the
number of seats you will be eligible to purchase in the new ballpark. We encourage existing
season ticket holders who anticipate wanting more traditional seats in the new ballpark to add to
their holdings now in order to get the best available seats in the Metrodome for 2008-2009 before
these locations are purchased by the large number of new season ticket buyers we expect to join
us for the 2008 season.
Q: I'm currently a partial plan holder. Will upgrading to full season tickets in the 2008 or
2009 seasons improve my priority or seat selection for traditional seats in the new
ballpark? If so, when should I upgrade?

A: Yes, upgrading to full season tickets for the 2008 or 2009 seasons will improve your priority
status. In addition, you should upgrade your season ticket plan if you anticipate wanting to
purchase full season tickets in the new ballpark. However, if you wish to remain a partial season
ticket holder in the new ballpark, it is not necessary to upgrade to full season tickets although it
will improve your priority status for selecting partial plans in the new ballpark. There is a
possibility that some locations in the new ballpark that are comparable to locations currently
available for partial plans in the Metrodome may be offered exclusively as full season ticket plans
in the new park. We hope to provide you with sufficient time and information to make an
upgrade decision. Keep in mind this offseason we anticipate an increased number of new season
ticket buyers who will seek the best available locations; therefore, if you anticipate upgrading to a
full season account to maximize your new ballpark priority status and if seat quality is important
to you while we play in the Metrodome, we encourage you to make the transition for the 2008
season.
Q: Who can I contact if I have any questions regarding the new ballpark priority plan or
seat relocation process?

A: We now have a dedicated team and phone number set up to address your new ballpark
questions regarding the priority plan and seat relocation process. This specialized team can be
reached directly at 612-338-2010. We welcome your calls between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM,
Monday through Friday.

Alright I'm all set up ..

I am very very interested in joining up if possible, I only have one concern that I already voiced to Nick - Hopefully this summer I will be studying a broad in Rome, but that is going to eat up my June and July tickets (8 out of the 20). I understand it is totally up to me, if I get the seasoners, to find a replacement, but I just wanted to feel out how easy it is going to be to move these extra tickets.. I've never had to resell season tickets before. If people respond and tell me that it I am likely to find someone to take them, even half of them, then I am in. Otherwise I am looking at 30 bones a ticket, hardly worth it. Even if I only get $15 each, it drops my per ticket for the other 12 to 20 bones. I don't know like I said I am already 90% there, I was just curious... no commitments necessary, like I said, just testing the waters...

Nick,
Also I have a PayPal account all set up to my bank account, let me know the details..

Peace

Ok so I looked at the gold glove package and I discovered that I would probably only be able to go to like 8 games and that is if I don't play softball this summer and that is kind of looking likely. I don't think i can do it. I kind of thought that we could pick the games that we were going to go to. I had a whole other idea of what it was. If Benny would like to steal tickets, then maybe him and I could get a seat together and figure it out from there. Whatya say Benny????

You can see if he'll split with you, or find someone else who would. Deutsch may split with you too, or kristina?

So this is going to seem pretty schizophrenic, coming just 2 1/2 hours after my first post, but I am going to back out of the tickets for 2 main reasons:

1. The big issue is the fact that I won't be around for damn near half the season, don't want to have to deal with it all when I'm gone or eat the ticket value.

2. The second reason is the priority seating issue. At this point, getting in on the cheapest package possible, as late as it is, I would be on the end of the list anyways. Honestly it may be more worth it to just wait and try my luck next year or when the stadium opens.

Being so late on the list is very close to just being off of the list. I would be in if I could go to all of the games, but I am having a hard time saying yes when these two things are coupled together. Its not worth giving up all those games to get on the list when I am that close to the end of it anyways.

If these seem wrong or if I am missing something, let me know. It is definitely something that I have wanted to get into the last few years, the timing just isn't working this year. I talked to Jay though and would be interested in buying single games that he or anyone else may have that they can't go to.

PEACE - THANKS THOUGH

I believe you join the line at the same place we got in. The package is in Nick's name and he doesn't lose his spot when adding more people.

A couple of points:

We are all going to be under ONE account with the Twins, this cannot be broken up into additional accounts so our priority date starts as of the date we setup the account, October 2006. You can only have ONE name under the account so you guys are stuck with me as the liaison.

Based off of literature put out by the Twins we are not guaranteed to get the same # of tickets in the new stadium with our account. There are a couple of things that will upgrade/help your priority seating and number tickets in new stadium 1) How long you've had season tickets 2) Type of season ticket package you have. There is virtually no way to pre-determine where we stand at this point because they haven't established the priority seating system yet. We're stuck with what we get!

Financially, I'm stuck at the point of the 20 game package and wouldn't vote to upgrade our package this season but would be open to upgrading packages down the road. Doing so will only increase our chances of getting better seating in stadium. Would upgrading our package now help, definitely, and the Twins encourage that kind of expression. You want to express yourself don't you...haha.

Either way it's fine if you guys want in on tickets, I would just say that the earlier you commit to tickets the better. After many lengthy conversations with our sales rep last year, he claims that this is the year that they are looking at as the determinate for the # of tickets in the new stadium. This is all hearsay and could be changed but that's what he told me last year. I've been fed a lot of garbage from the Twins sales staff so the information is what it is.

I understand it better, but I am still going to back out, mainly due to not even being around to go. October of 2006 is a decent start point though - I thought you guys lost it last year through some communication snafu or something and I was operating under that assumption. But regardless, I still can't justify it. Thanks again though
